Bursa The Grand CityBursa Culture Tourism Promotion Union is a governmental agency, established by local governments in the city of Bursa with the aim of promoting Bursa, with all its natural and cultural aspects at national and international levels.
Located in Marmara Region of Turkey, Bursa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. Among the natural and historical places to visit in Bursa are the archaeological findings from the period 8000 BC; buildings from the Byzantine (Eastern Roman) Empire such as churches, basilica, Roman baths, etc.); Nicaea (Iznik), where the first and seventh ecumenical councils gathered; heritage of the founders of the Ottoman state, which made it the first capital of the Ottoman Empire: Mosques from the establishment period of the Ottoman Empire; the Grand Bazaar; the Mount Olympos (Uludağ); the Apolyont Lake (Gölyazı village); Thermal springs (Roman and Turkish baths); Cycling and walking routes; Beaches.
