Ireland- for Youth & Adventure Travel

Ireland- for Youth & Adventure Travel
Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development agency for Ireland and our role is to support the tourism industry and work to sustain Ireland as a high quality and competitive tourism destination. We support overseas buyers to grow their sales of Ireland and assist the Irish industry to deliver on these requirements through the development and delivery of tourism experiences and adventures through Ireland’s Signature Experience Brand Propositions – the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East & Dublin. A Breath of Fresh Air.

About Ireland
Ireland is an Island situated on the edge of Europe, with it's western seaboard facing the Atlantic Ocean. As a relatively small Island, it offers extensive availability and value in air and sea access with in excess of 2,500 flights per week to and from the island (>1,900 flights per week off season) as well as a huge variety of experiences for visitors.

Recognised the world over, as having one of the friendliest people in the world, visitors first stop is often our cosmopolitan capital of Dublin, a compact capital city with over 1000 years of history, a world renowned literary heritage with a surprise around every corner. Dublin also has a wonderfully picturesque coastline and bay of colourful villages, beaches and mountains, a mere 15 minutes from the centre, offering a real breath of fresh air to those who visit.

From Dublin visitors can travel west to the Wild Atlantic Way - the longest defined coastal touring route of the Atlantic in the World. With a diverse choice of immersive culture and historical attractions, great local food and crafts, as well as traditional music song and dance which we are recognised for across the globe, not to mention the extensive range of outdoor fun adventures available from walking, cycling, canoeing, sea kayaking, horse-riding, boating, fishing, foraging to marine wildlife expeditions, coasteering, coastal mountain biking, bird watching and eco-tourism adventures and of course a visit to a lighthouse!.

If that's not enough, no visit to the Island would be complete without a stay in Ireland's Ancient East, where visitors get to immerse themselves in over 5000 years of history, through lush green landscapes, brought to life by the best storytellers in the World. - a walkers and cyclist's paradise with some wonderful mystical inland waterway activities along it's river valleys and lakes, as well as some great castles, stately homes and unique gardens, not to mention some of the best festivals and active adventure events in our calendar.
