Mexico City Tourism Board is the only government organism and official destination marketing organization, that promotes all the benefits that the City offers for the meetings industry and that ranks Mexico City as an important national and international destination . Among its functions; it shows the main venues dedicated to held events and recipients of MICE segment, extend the network of ties and cooperation of Mexico City at local, national and global level, increase the participation of the public, social and private sectors for the promotion of Mexico City,  promote the execution of strategic projects, under a concept of innovation and creativity, promote Mexico City at a local, national and international level through a City Brand.

The CDMX brand was born in 2013, and was officially launch in 2014. The CDMX brand has been appropriated by the inhabitants of Mexico City as an icon of pride and belonging. The CDMX brand, which is a very recent creation, has positioned itself in a few years as one of the most important touristic brands in Mexico and during 2014 it was among the 20 most powerful brands according to the ranking published by the English consultancy Saffron. It has positioned itself in such a way that the national and international media refer to the city simply as "the CDMX"
CDMX brand attracts tourists, investors, talents and events and seeks to maintain a productive plant, improve infrastructure, habitability, products and services, seeks to transmit identity, belonging and adoption to internal audiences.
